About the role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help us build the services behind products that handle payments, accounts and financial records, where accuracy and security matter as much as speed. You will lead people and take responsibility for results in your area, and you will report to the Head of Department.
What you will get to do
- Own the architecture of key financial and data services.
- Decide how we balance speed, accuracy, cost and risk in critical systems.
- Mentor engineers and work with product, security and compliance leaders.
- Represent AdaIn professionally with customers, partners and regulators.
- Develop the people around you and plan for their succession.
To succeed in this role, we think you should have
- Seven or more years of relevant experience, including leadership of people or of major projects.
- Deep experience designing reliable, secure, high volume systems, preferably in finance.
- Honesty, and care with confidential information.
- The ability to work with colleagues from different functions.
What success looks like in this role
- Within six months, you set a clear direction for your area.
- Within a year, you have improved results and developed the people around you.
