About the role
As a Backend Engineer, you will help us build the services behind products that handle payments, accounts and financial records, where accuracy and security matter as much as speed. You will work as part of a team under a Team Lead.
What you will get to do
- Design, build and run backend services that handle payments, accounts and financial records.
- Connect our systems to banks, payment providers and partner platforms.
- Set up monitoring, and fix production issues quickly and safely.
- Follow our policies on data protection and confidentiality.
- Support and guide newer colleagues.
To succeed in this role, we think you should have
- Three to five years of relevant experience.
- Experience building production backend services. Java and Spring Boot are an advantage.
- Honesty, and care with confidential information.
- The ability to work with colleagues from different functions.
What success looks like in this role
- Within three months, you own a defined area of work.
- Within a year, you are a reliable source of guidance for newer colleagues.
